Editing (summative) assignments

How to edit settings for non-online assignments or for feedback only

Assessments that may not require an online submission include:

  • a performance
  • an 'offline' exam
  • a presentation
  • other art based products
Remember to enter the dates of assessment so that students' calendars generate reminders/alerts. Students can access their grade and feedback through SOL and their grades will go back through to Quercus in the normal way.

If summative assignments need to be split into parts, contact Student Registry to set this up in Quercus. This will generate the correct amount of Quercus links automatically on your unit. Do not use 'formative' links for this purpose.

Please do not enable 'Group submissions' for an assignment link if an online submission is not being made as it will prevent grades being sent to Quercus.  If you need to, contact ltu@solent.ac.uk to discuss your requirements.

1. Go to your unit and Turn editing on (top right of your screen).
