Outline of sections/chapters

Here you give an outline of the structure of your dissertation. This is usually restricted to the main body as the overall structure is often prescribed.

The main discussion will require a more detailed breakdown than other sections. You should give suggested chapters headings and one or two paragraphs about the proposed content.

Example outline for the main body:

• Introduction
• Literature survey
• Methodology
• Results (if appropriate)
• Discussion
o Is art really a good investment?
(one or two paragraphs describing the proposed content)

o Provenance: truth or fiction
(one or two paragraphs describing the proposed content)
o An international perspective
(one or two paragraphs describing the proposed content)
• Conclusions
• Recommendations (if appropriate)

Please check if your School has any specific requirements.
