BoB National is a radio and TV programme recording system operated by the BUFVC. The service gives access to all the major channels with a searchable archive of over 800,000 programmes, some back to 2008. You can record up to 10 items a day with selections possible up to a month after broadcast.

BFI InView is an online resource which focuses on Britain’s changing political, economic and social landscape in the age of film and television. It contains around 1,000 hours of non-fiction moving image titles and 8,000 pages of related documents.

BFI Player is a collection of contemporary and classic films, hand-picked by the BFI from their festivals, cultural programme and the BFI National Archive. Much of the collection is pay to view, but there is significant content available free of charge, including interviews with film-makers. The collection is being added to weekly.
Screenonline is devoted to the history of British film and television, and to British social history as revealed by film and television. Video clips, film stills, posters, press books, and recorded interviews with film and television personalities are available to search from the British Film Institute's Film and Television archive.
LOGIN: Screenonline is freely accessible for all Solent staff and students, but the moving image material can only be accessed from PCs within Southampton Solent University. When viewing clips you will need to view them using FIREFOX and Windows Media Player (rather than VLC Web).
Contains over 850 television and film screenplays available in PDF format. Television screenplays include Ally McBeal, Friends, Buffy, Lost and Seinfeld. Movie screenplays include American Beauty, Crash, Braveheart, Gladiator and many more.

Contains a record of all current radio centred research in the United Kingdom plus details of postgraduate theses, MPhils and PhDs, as well as post doctoral research and funded projects. The database, hosted by the British Universities Film and Video Council (BUFVC) is funded by the Radio Academy and managed by the Radio Studies Network.
The BUFVC Television and Radio Index for Learning and Teaching (TRILT) is an extensive online database of UK television and radio programmes, including terrestrial, cable, and satellite television (with regional variations), all national and many local radio stations. Data is available at least 10 days before transmission, building an archive of programme information and schedules. Selected programmes of value to higher and further education are evaluated and information is added, including bibliographies, weblinks and indications of sources of post-transmission copies, including the BUFVC's own off-air recording backup service.
