The opportunity to consider how to manage change is the focus of workshop 6here, linked with impact. The plan is to focus on the small things which might make a considerate difference for students. Sharing practices to engender new/revised ideas will be actively encouraged.
Key aims
- To consider the value of change models and their application to Level Leader practice.
- To facilitate discussion regarding working in partnership with Course Leaders, Module Leaders and University Services to effect change.
- To consider the signifiers of impact.
- Pre-workshop activities
- Pre-workshop activity 1: Leading change (aka dancing man)
- First, watch the following video titled 'First follower: Leadership lessons from dancing guy'.

- What are the stages of starting a movement?
- What is the role of leaders and those they lead in starting a movement?
- As a Level Leader, how do you manage your course team to spread your plans/action for change?
- Be ready to discuss your thoughts in the workshop.

- Please familiarise yourself with the theory of change by reading the SLTI note on the theory of change (4 pages).
