Level Leader Programme
- Welcome
The programme is designed to further strengthen the Level Leader role at Solent University and its cross-course consistency. It will support the development of the Level Leader Peer Network, initiating discussion, debate and problem solving focused on key topics central to the role and responsibilities of the Level Leads. It will celebrate the role and its significance in the context of the University’s Access and Participation Plan culminating in the opportunity to showcase your role at the Learning and Teaching Conference to be held in June 2023. The programme is open to all existing, new and aspiring Level Leaders.
There are eight workshops in the series. We recommend that you attend all workshops, but we understand that this not always possible, so you can choose as you see fit. The workshop series is designed to promote conversation, the exchange of ideas and the further enhancement of the role, always keeping the student and their learning experience at the centre.
The workshop series is value-based, aligned with Solent Values. It also seeks to further enhance leadership in action and therefore connects with Solent’s Leadership Behaviours.
The workshop series also connects with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), and its Areas of Activity, Core Knowledge and Professional Values. How you engage with each will vary depending on your particular context, and also whether or not you have at this point been recognised as a Fellow (Associate, Fellow or Senior Fellow). Consider them as you come into and engage in each of the workshops. If you need further information about Fellowship at Solent, look here.
We recognise that the Level Lead role is busy and have therefore sought to manage pre-work ahead of each of the workshops. We want you to enjoy the workshops not be overwhelmed by them. We have also decided not to prescribe post workshop activities. Each of you will pull forward different learning points, ideas, solutions into your continuing practice.
Please sign up to the programme by completing this short form.
