    Save time when using these resources. Google help is below or jump to Google Scholar information:

    Google:

    • Remember to use " " around phrases to restrict your search to more relevant materials
    • Use the site: search feature to find quality information quickly

      • Type site:  plus the site domain you want to search and then your keywords
            • Works for government, organisations, parliament and more

    So, if you want to find out about the women in Shakespeare plays and their role in the theatre from organisations, or for government information about English poetry try: 

            • site:org.uk "women in shakespeare" theatre
            • site:gov.uk english poetry

        Google Scholar - link this up to Solent Library

        This will then tell you if we have a copy of the article or not - no need to get frustrated with payment screens from publishers

        • Choose Scholar Settings (cog icon)
        • Enter Solent in Library Links
        • Select Southampton Solent University - Full text @ SSU and Save. 


        OFF CAMPUS: You must check the access information for each article via the Full Text @ SSU screens and login to view.
