Referencing: guidance and reference management tools

You need to reference all the sources you use in your assignments - by giving in-text references to your sources at point of use and then giving full details for each of these in a final reference list.  Find out how to do this correctly:

    Reference management tools

    RefWorks

RefWorks allows you to store and use references you have found during your research.

    • Export references from eResources or the library catalogue
    • Then use RefWorks to generate your in-text references and final reference list.

For guidance on using the NEW RefWorks, please see our subject guide (Legacy RefWorks users please see separate guidance)

RefME (becoming Cite This For Me on 7th March 2017 - please check for important details on what existing users need to do)

    Drop in for support!

The Library runs regular drop in sessions to provide help and support for referencing, RefWorks and RefME.  Come along and solve any issue you may be having with one or all of these areas!

Check the drop in calendar for dates and times for these sessions (and others offered by the Library).
