Hanna Head and Lorna Reavely will discuss research undertaken by the Student Union on lad culture in HE and the ways that it manifests itself in pedagogic contexts. Strategies for promoting an inclusive learning environment will be discussed along with ways of challenging inappropriate language and behaviour in the classroom.

This seminar will also provide an opportunity to find out more about the Bystander Initiative, and Solent's procedures for dealing with bullying and harassment, including the services available to support affected students.

Hanna Head is the Student Union Vice President of Welfare & Community.
Lorna Reavely is Chief Executive of the Student Union at Southampton Solent University.

The Inclusivity Seminar Series is running throughout April and May 2017.
